God's response

How cool is it when you pray to God about something, come to a decision you think He's directing, and then the very same day He steps in and says, "You know what, I think you're getting confused. Try the other way." I've been praying a lot about where God would have me worship for the time being, and thought I had come to a conclusion on Tuesday, and then that evening God sent out a little prod saying: "survey says???.....eeeehhh." (as an aside, how to "write out" a buzzer sound?) So, I need to spend a little more time in prayer about it, just to make completely sure, but it's exciting to see God seem to answer and direct my life the very same day.

There's probably not an answer to this

Why is it that you can have a really amazing time with God on one day, and on the very next day, you're all excited to spend time from God, you're focused, distraction free, wide-awake, and you just don't feel that close to God. Now, I know feelings are transient and fleeting, but there should be something permament and constant about God meeting you, right? I'm not razzing on God--but is it me?

Yeah for me...or for God

So, after a good small group last night, after I was helping Jim and Ida Jo clean up their place before leaving for the night, Ida Jo commented that she's seen a big improvement in my small group leading since two years ago when I last led a group. Now, some of it's preparation and effort, but I think most of it is about God. It's cool to have someone on the "outside" see you and basically say, "God's working in you." A nice way to end the night. :)

How long until baseball season starts again?

And, more importantly, what are the odds on getting tickets to the Cubs/Indians series? Bring on the tribe, bum, we're not afraid. :)
